Nintendo’s most successful console in more than a decade gets a new accessory and a new colour scheme this month.
The Nintendo Switch has been a runaway success for Nintendo, selling out in minutes and shipping almost a million units in just one month. The console has already beaten Sony and Microsoft in its home market of Japan and its flagship titles has shipped more units than the console itself.
First up is the new colour. It’s called Neon Yellow and it is, well, neon yellow. The Joy Con strap and controllers can be purchased in this shade.
Next up is a new battery grip for the Joy Cons which will add some more battery life to the controller. The Joy Cons are tiny, so the battery grip will help improve ergonomics as well.
Lastly, the Switch dock will finally go on sale as a separate unit. The dock is bundled as part of the console and is essential for connecting it to the TV, but until now, you couldn’t buy it separately.
The dock will go on sale from 19 May in “limited quantities”, reports Techcrunch.
